Description
Allow users to set a time/date for the article to 'Expire'
EG: "Competition closes on 1st May"
- Article could be set 'unpublish' on May 1st.

Can you provide a use case for this? Personally I can't see a benefit. If you have a competition like you said, imo users should be away that there was a competition held, instead of it disappearing.

This was suggested at a meeting I attended. I think the main reason for this was when reviewing the site that Tango will replace (a wordpress install) there were lots of old articles on there that had now had data in that was invalid.
Also - if your site does not publish a lot of news - it's sometimes best to have nothing there, than an article that is six months old?

Ok, so maybe a configuration option for a cut off point - as in, don't display articles older than 3 months? This would be global instead of per-article, would that suffice?
