Adding regex to URL aliases is probably too complicated for a normal user, but wildcard aliases/redirects could be useful, for example, http://example.com/dropbox/* could redirect to http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1234567/$1 so a user doesn't have to remember the long url and their user id.
